Rusty Hitt, President of Community National Bank & Trust of Texas, announces the promotion of Tammy Austin to Branch Manager of the Mineral Wells location. In addition, Kayla Hons has been named Vice President and Loan Officer.
Austin has been with the bank for 18 years and is a Vice President and Loan Officer. She started her banking career right out of high school and has worked in several areas of the bank. She first began working in the bookkeeping and data processing area. Following that, Austin worked as a teller and then moved into the new account representative position. She then worked in the lending department as a Loan Processor. For the last 4 years she has been a Loan Officer. Austin completed the Management Development Program through the Texas Bankers Association. She serves the community through the Zonta Club of Mineral Wells, Meals on Wheels and as a United Way volunteer. Austin lives in Mineral Wells with her husband, David, and they have two children, Brad and Kassidy.
Kayla Hons graduated from Angelo State University with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science and a Master of Business Administration in Management. Hons worked at First Financial Bank in Mineral Wells for the last decade. She first began working as a New Account Representative and then moved to the Loan Assistant position. After that, she was the Compliance Officer where she planned, organized and tracked loan related procedures along with reviewing all loan types. Most recently, Hons worked as an Assistant Vice President and Lender. Hons completed The Texas Tech University School of Banking Program in 2016. She serves the community through the Zonta Club of Mineral Wells and Meals on Wheels. Hons lives in Mineral Wells with her husband, Brandon, and they have two children, Bailey and Avery.
